Why is my display disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly in Windows?

A small percentage of users have reported issues with DL-1xx based products (such as UGA-165 and USB-VGA-165) causing displays connected through these products to repeatedly disconnect and reconnect. This issue, affecting Windows systems, occurs with DisplayLink driver versions up to 11.5 M2. It is unclear when this issue first appeared, but it has been identified in driver versions 11.5 M2 and earlier. It has since been resolved by Synaptics with DisplayLink driver version 11.5 M3. While Plugable has been unable to reproduce this issue internally, we recommend that users experiencing this behaviour update their DisplayLink driver to version 11.5 M3 or newer.
