The USB3-10M-D and the USB3-5M-D include a 5V power adapter to ensure that your connected device receives up to 900mA of power as required. The power adapter connection is located on the female end of the connection, as seen below:

When to Use the Adapter

While some low-power devices (such as mice or flash drives) may work without an external power source, connecting the 5V adapter ensures stable performance and prevents disconnections with high-draw devices, such as cameras, hubs, or drives.

Barrel Specifications

Outer Diameter (OD): 3.47 mm (commonly referred to as 3.5 mm)

Inner Diameter (ID): 1.25 mm (commonly referred to as 1.3 mm)
 

Compatible replacement adapters should have a 3.5 mm outer and 1.3 mm inner barrel connector, 5V output, and center-positive polarity.
