What Type of USB Host Controller Chipsets Are in the TBT3-UDV Dock, and How Are These Routed to the Dock’s Five USB Ports?

The TBT3-UDV Thunderbolt 3 docking station has two USB host controllers for the five USB data ports.

Identifying the ports and host controller

The TBT3-UDV dock includes both a Fresco FL1100EX USB 3.0 Host Controller and an Asmedia ASM1042A USB 3.0 Host Controller. The ports are labeled "Fresco" and "ASMedia" in the rear view of the docking station below.

The front-facing USB Type-C and "Top" two USB Standard-A ports (top in the vertical orientation, or the left most when facing the rear in the horizontal orientation) are controlled by the Fresco USB host controller. The "lower" two USB Standard-A port on the rear (right-most in the horizontal orientation) are controlled by the ASMedia USB host controller.
