Plugable includes in the box with the UD-6950Z two different USB cables that can be used to connect the dock to the host laptop.

One USB 3.0 Type-A cable for use with laptops that have only USB Type-A ports available, and one USB 3.0 Type-C cable for use with laptops that have only USB Type-C ports available.  Only one cable is necessary, and we include both cable types only for convenience.

If the included three foot long USB 3.0 cables are not of sufficient length, longer cables up to six feet in length can be purchased separately (we don’t recommend cables longer than six feet due to potential performance issues).
