The original USB3-E1000 ethernet adapter was released in 2016 and was sold until 2024. The newer version of the USB3-E1000 is now available and is using a newer ASIX AX88179B chipset that is now fully compatible with macOS. The original version of the USB3-E1000 used the ASIX AX88179 chipset.
