Why Do Transferred Files Show a Red X After Using Bravura Easy Computer Sync?
The red X is a Microsoft OneDrive sync status icon, not a problem with the transfer cable or the Bravura Easy Computer Sync software. It means Windows has not yet synced the newly transferred files to OneDrive cloud storage.

Why a Red X Appears on Transferred Files
When files are transferred into a folder that OneDrive backs up, such as Desktop, Documents, or Pictures, OneDrive tries to upload them to the cloud. Until that upload finishes, or if the upload runs into a problem, Windows marks the files with a red X to show they are not yet synced to OneDrive. The files themselves are still on your computer.
How to Remove the Red X From Transferred Files
In most cases, the red X clears on its own once OneDrive finishes uploading the new files, so allow some time, especially after a large transfer.
If the red X remains, restart OneDrive:
- Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the Windows taskbar notification area.
- Select the gear icon (Help & Settings), then choose Quit OneDrive.
- Open OneDrive again from the Start menu.
After OneDrive restarts, it should resume uploading the files, and the red X should be removed once syncing completes.
