Yes! The screenshot below is from a 2019 MacBook Pro 15″ with a PCIe x4 implementation.

In the above screenshot the read speed is 2406.0MB/s with 2038.6MB/s write speed.

Please note, real-world storage performance depends on the file system format (APFS vs ExFAT vs NTFS etc), and can be very dependent on the size, number, and types of files being transferred. Benchmarks like Blackmagicdesign Disk Speed Test help to eliminate some of these variables but are still affected by the file system format, storage media, and connection speeds.
