What is the Works With Chromebook (WWCB) program, and what Plugable products are included?

WWCB stands for Works With Chromebook. It's a certification program where Google collaborates with leading accessory and peripheral partners to ensure certified products, like docking stations, mice, cables, power adapters and more work seamlessly to help you get the most from your Chromebook.

In order for products to be WWCB certified, they must go through rigorous interoperability testing by Google. This helps to ensure external devices operate smoothly with Chromebooks, and helps to add confidence in purchasing products knowing the devices have been verified to meet Google’s standards.

Another benefit of this program is that participating products can utilize Google’s Secure Firmware update mechanism, offering ease and peace of mind for IT departments and users alike. This allows device firmware updates containing security and bug fixes to automatically be pushed by Google via native OS update mechanisms to securely update your WWCB devices via your Chromebook.
