The prompt is part of a new security feature Apple introduced with macOS 15 Sequoia. To use your Silicon Motion-based product, you must click the "Allow For One Month" button within the prompt and continue to renew this authorization every month.

Why the Prompt Requires Monthly Authorization

The macOS InstantView Application must be granted "Screen Recording" permission in the macOS Security & Privacy settings to access the information it needs to generate images for Silicon Motion-driven displays. With macOS 15 Sequoia, Apple instituted a new policy requiring this permission to be initially allowed for one month and then renewed on a monthly basis. The application does not record or store any information, but the Silicon Motion device will not function if the permission is not renewed.
